The Women's Leadership Section of the GWSCPA is a large and diverse group of members coming together with common goals: to advance the standing of all women in the profession, to empower each other to be our professional best, to motivate each other in our leadership goals and to support each other through personal and professional transformations. Kara Hardin, Founder and CEO, The Practice LabKara Hardin
Kara Hardin (she/her), Founder and CEO of The Practice Lab, is a mental health educator, Registered Psychotherapist, and former practicing corporate and securities lawyer, who works at the intersection of mental health and performance. She specializes in the complicated ways that mental health drives performance and how it shows up at work. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. Kara’s core values are learning and kindness. In her free time, she can be found either knee deep in a pile of very mediocre mystery books or walking her dog Maple.

Lisa Stover, Regional Managing Partner - Northeast, CliftonLarsonAllenLisa Stover
Lisa Stover, CPA, CGMA, CAE is a Director in the Public Sector Outsourcing Practice of CliftonLarsonAllen LLP. She has worked exclusively with not-for-profit organizations for more than 12 years. Lisa has comprehensive knowledge of all areas of not-for-profit accounting including audit, regulation, accounting services, and consulting. She has a wealth of experience in performing CFO duties, developing accounting policies and procedures manuals, managing large finance and administration teams, finance and accounting system assessments, and implementation of technical accounting standards. She also specializes in developing budget and forecast procedures that lead to organization wide budget-accountability and assisting Board members in reading and understanding financial statements. Lisa is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Greater Washington Society of CPAs, and the American Society of Association Executives.

Brittney Gordon
Brittney Gordon, CPA is Director of Business Development at The Alliance Group and has led the firm’s non-profit practice for the last 8 years, in addition to serving clients in the Fortune 500, private companies, and multinational firms. In her role, Brittney provides executives with access to a range of talent solutions including consulting, advisory, executive search, and interim staffing. Brittney is also on the Board of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA), has an active CPA license, and began her career in public accounting at EY where she developed a passion for client service and strategizing around business challenges. She is a graduate of the College of William & Mary and a proud Tribe alumna. Brittney has been described by her clients as passionate about her work, generous with her professional network, creative in her approach to problem-solving, thorough in her technical knowledge, and compassionate, engaging, and professional in her demeanor. As one client shared, “This kind of passion for one’s work is a rare find which helps clients feel at ease knowing they are in capable hands.” Under Brittney’s leadership, Alliance’s nonprofit practice has grown by over 10x over the past 8 years

Adi Rubin
Adi Rubin is a managing director in the Outsourced Accounting & CFO Services Group in CBIZ’s Washington, DC office. Her career in public accounting has spanned over 20 years and included several industries including real estate, professional services and nonprofits. Her practice focuses on enhancing organizations’ internal controls, compliance and efficiency through technology innovations and process improvement. She is passionate about understanding the underlying causes within an organization’s challenges in order to help structure solutions that are sustainable.

Bianca Domally
Bianca Domally has over 25 years’ experience as a financial professional in the not for profit industry. She is currently the CFO for Associated Builders and Contractors, and has served as CFO for the American Public Power Association, Controller for American Petroleum Institute, and Controller/Managing Director for American Chemistry Council. She has brought expertise in process improvement, change management and team leadership and development to these organizations. She abides by a “continuous improvement” mantra, for work and life, and champions empowering people to achieve their highest potential. Bianca received her BBA degree from Baruch College, CUNY, is currently completing her MBA with UMGC, and is a Certified Public Accountant. She lives in Laytonsville, Maryland with her husband and two children, but prides herself in always identifying as a “New Yorker”!

Mia Chisholm, Founder & President, Chisholm Consulting LLC
Mia Chisholm
Mia Chisholm is the Founder and President of Chisholm Consulting. She has nearly 20 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance in the non-profit industry. For the past 11 years, Mia has helped non-profit organizations in the DC metro area find top talent across their organization – finance, accounting, marketing, membership, communication, events, programs, and government affairs. Since the inception of Chisholm Consulting in 2018, she has successfully matched nearly 200 clients and candidates. Her focus has always been to help organizations thrive through finding the brightest talent in the marketplace. Mia and her team believe in a strong foundation of honesty, integrity and excellent customer service. Mia earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the College of Charleston. During her free time, she loves to go to the beach, read, cook, host gatherings, and watch Korean dramas. She currently resides in Charleston, SC with her husband, son and two furry boys.

Shereen Mahoney
Shereen Mahoney is a Technology Consulting Partner in Wipfli’s Financial and Operational Systems practice. She has 30 years of experience in all aspects of accounting, financial, and business systems including sales and service delivery. She is dedicated to helping organizations improve business processes and productivity, reduce operational costs, and get timely access to financial information so they can run their business more efficiently. Shereen also has deep nonprofit expertise and spent five years leading Wipfli’s Nonprofit subindustry across the firm’s audit, tax, and consulting services.
Shereen is an International Coaching Federation ACC certified executive coach, team developer and certified analyst in the Predictive Index (PI) assessment toolkit and EQ-i2.0 and EQ360 emotional intelligence instruments. She works closely with CEO’s and senior leaders as a personal leadership coach and helps executives develop high functioning teams.
Shereen also serves on the board for Wipfli Foundation which supports educational and community organizations that impact the localities in which Wipfli has a presence.
Prior to Wipfli, Shereen was CEO at Brittenford Systems, a Top 100 accounting software and technology consulting firm in the Washington, DC region for Sage Intacct, Dynamics GP, Dynamics SL and CIO Advisory services. Previously, she managed an Epicor practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Shereen is a CPA and earned a Master of Science in Accounting, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting Information Systems from James Madison University. She is frequently recognized as a top executive and technology professional in her respective fields and is passionate about firm culture, associate engagement, developing people, driving growth, and solving client challenges.

Faida Fuller is a mission oriented, non-profit leader serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Vital Voices Global Partnership. At Vital Voices, she oversees all operational, administrative, and internal functions ensuring that the systems, policies and guidelines enable the organization to fulfill its mission to its highest potential. She is a strategic partner to the CEO helping to lead organization strategy development and implementation.
Faida is a passionate leader with experience in social impact and education. Prior to Vital Voices she served as Chief Operating Officer at Friendship Public Charter Schools helping to expand the network to fifteen campuses serving over 4000 students. She also worked in various other roles to drive impact and equal access to quality education during her time at the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) in Washington, DC, focused on providing public school choice grounded in innovation, opportunity, and excellence. Faida is a proud graduate of Spelman College and sees her most important role as mother of her two children. In her spare time, she is co-founder of Beaded Souls – an African import and design business.
