Overview
This course briefly covers Virginia regulations for CPAs. It also covers general topics that relate to ethics, AICPA Code of Professional Conduct selected issues, and Virginia and AICPA disciplinary actions. This course is approved by the Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA) to meet the VBOA annual 2-hour (100-minute) Ethics CPE requirement for 2024. This course also qualifies for two hours of ethics credit for D.C. and Maryland. It addresses issues for accountants in public accounting and in business.
This session will be held virtually via Zoom, a login link will be sent out prior to the event.

• Understand Virginia regulations involving CPE and licensing.

Gary Bulmash, Retired
Dr. Bulmash’s areas of expertise are financial accounting and auditing. He regularly speaks on issues relating to accounting and auditing, including updates on recent standards. Dr. Bulmash has taught numerous continuing education courses for CPAs and has written materials for many of these courses. More recently, Dr. Bulmash has spoken about and done training in the area of International Financial Reporting Standards in the U.S. and Europe. He serves as Audit Committee Chair and Financial Expert for a publicly traded company. Dr. Bulmash has received awards for outstanding discussion leader from various State CPA Societies and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
