GWSCPA Announces 2024 Scholarship Recipients

Washington, DC—The Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA) is pleased to announce the 2024 GWSCPA Scholarship Recipients. The recipients were announced during the 101st Annual Membership Meeting on June 5, 2024.

This year's scholarship award categories and recipients are:

Past President’s Scholarship Award:

Awarded to: Hnin Swe, University of the District of Columbia

This scholarship, implemented by the sitting past presidents of the GWSCPA, is awarded to a student who demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities and potential.  

Sue Marcum Scholarship Award:

Awarded to: Janine Powell, George Mason University

This scholarship, named for former AU Professor Sue Marcum, is awarded to a student demonstrating a commitment to community service.
